Have you been practicing card magic for a while, but still can’t perform the sleights you want without getting caught? Are your tricks getting decent response, but you really want to slay them?
Are you fed up with collecting random moves and tricks and want a strong repertoire that’s guaranteed to get big reactions? Are you tired of searching for the secret to understanding the overall structure that ties your magic together?
Are you unsure exactly what skills and techniques you need to accomplish the effects you most want to perform, or exactly what you should focus on at any given time to get maximum growth?
Imagine how much better your life will be after you finally become the card magician you desire to be.
The fastest, easiest and most effective way to become the magician you deserve to be is to work with the right teacher—someone who has been taught by masters and mentored with legends and has distilled that information into a blueprint for success.
There are a lot of great magicians but very few great magic teachers. Of these, the number who are true cardmen is minuscule.
You need someone who really knows the path, and will show you the methods, concepts and skills you need to perform truly great card magic. A trainer—who’ll teach you how to develop real skill and offer constant guidance as you progress. A coach who has a proven method of getting you from where you are to where you want to go and possesses a passion for teaching—not just the skills to show off.
It’s one thing to have great skill. It’s a completely different thing to be able to transfer that skill and knowledge to others. That’s what I do best.
“Since beginning lessons with Aaron, my magic has grown tremendously. He has really changed my technique for the better. He has a knack for seeing exactly what I’m doing wrong, and explaining the solution in a clear way. He has changed the way I look at presenting magic, and I am on the way to becoming to a true performer. He takes the time to make the lessons mine, and is willing to help me learn what I want to learn. In just a few months, lessons with Aaron have really changed my magic for the better.”

I’ve spent the last twenty years practicing, studying with world masters, performing professionally and teaching magicians all over the world how to get more out of their magic. I’ll use this deep experience to create a personal plan for you and you alone, designed with your experience, strengths and personal style in mind. I’ll guide your process, and adapt your lessons from week to week to ensure you maximize your potential and make sure you get the skills, confidence and understanding you need to do great card magic.
You‘ll have much more fun and confidence, both practicing and performing your magic, when you have a teacher who is there to push you and guide you to become the best magician you can be.
The sooner you start working with the right teacher, the sooner you will be the great card magician you dream of becoming.
“A lot of people in the magic world have great knowledge they share, but it really takes someone special to have the knowledge of how to teach. I really do believe Aaron has that special talent - to get people from where they are to where they want to go. It’s really a phenomenal thing.”

Every finished sleight of hand artist is as unique as a diamond, and so is the learning process that creates him. A beginner’s DVD may contain good material, but it can’t give you regular supervision, or guide you through the unique process of discovering what really works for you.
Before we begin, you’ll fill out a comprehensive profile to let me know about you and your magic. You’ll include information about your experience and tastes, your short- and long-term goals, as well as any dreams and aspirations you have—you’ll also include any specific techniques or effects you want to master.
I’ll use this information to choose distinct material for your first lessons—designed to help you learn in the most efficient, effective way possible.
As we meet for lessons on Skype, typically once or twice a month, you’ll acquire new techniques, understanding and performance material. You’ll improve lesson by lesson and the lessons will evolve as I get to really know your personality and approach. As we progress, I’ll adapt your lesson plan regularly to meet your constantly evolving skills and style.
That means no matter where you are in your personal process, your lessons will always focus on exactly what needs to happen right now to move you forward.
“Aaron tailors his lessons to the individual’s needs so its very subjective. However every time I have a lesson with Aaron I come away inspired, more confident, more knowledgeable and a better magician.”
— Andrew Hillcoat, Age 31, Glasgow, Scotland

“Aaron has shown great knowledge on the history and theory of magic. He uses this information and his experience of performing to effectively teach and convey this knowledge to others. Since spending time with Aaron, I have improved on my sleights and understanding of the principles behind the construction of good magic. Having feedback and knowing that the information I am being taught is reliable has improved my confidence. I am now able to start applying those principles to other situations and effects.”

Even if you feel like some sleights are beyond hope, it’s important at this stage not to limit your potential. Part of my job as your coach is to help you achieve things you never thought possible on your own. Your lessons will give you skills and understanding that will make seemingly impossible sleights not only attainable, but fun to acquire. If you commit to this process, you will surprise yourself.
You can’t perform great card magic without enough tools to get the job done. Depending on your specific goals, experience and the amount of time you have available for practice, we’ll choose specialized techniques to empower your magic and ensure you don’t waste time on practicing things that won’t make your magic stronger.
It’s hard to say right now exactly what techniques you’ll be learning, but we do know you’ll need a complete set of dynamic sleight of hand tools. I’ll sift through dozens of handlings from each category below and arm you with the distinct sleights you’ll need to create your own unique style of card magic.
Before your first lesson, you’ll have an opportunity to tell me about any specific moves or effects you want to master. Your techniques will come from these core categories:
Shuffles
Controls
Forces
Multiples Lifts and Turnovers
Switches
Reverses
Glimpses
Flourishes
Passes
Half Passes
Palms & Side Steals
